What We Believe
We affirm historic Christian orthodoxy as found in the Apostles' Creed and are broadly evangelical in scope. Among other important truths, we acknowledge foremost that:
- The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God
- God is a complex unity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
- Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, Savior, Messiah, and Lord
- Man is by nature sinful, fallen, separated from God, and in need of redemption
- Redemption is made possible because of Christ's sacrifice on the cross
- Salvation is freely attained by faith in Christ and evidenced by our works
- Baptism (public immersion in water) identifies us with Christ
Creeds have the uncanny ability to both unite and divide. It has been a frequent criticism of the Church at large that we too often major on the minors. Our desire is to reverse that trend so that our focus is always on the most important things of the Kingdom. We desire to be an inclusive community that demonstrates a unity only truly possible through Christ.
